Overview:
Norma Iris has represented entities and individual clients in a variety of business, corporate, real estate and commercial transactions including corporate, partnership and LLC formations, stock and asset purchases, mergers and acquisitions, investments, financing for business ventures, and all related due diligence. She has also represented corporations, professional corporations, LLC/LLP and non-profit entities and groups in all aspects of their operations including employment, tax, bankruptcy and securities issues, copyright and trademark applications, intellectual property, trade secret protection, and Internet/e-commerce related agreements. Most recently, she has represented individuals and businesses before the IRS.
Norma Iris has been a practicing member of the California Bar for over 20 years. She received an undergraduate degree from Princeton University, a law degree from UCLA's School of Law, and a diploma in Tax Law from the University Of San Diego School Of Law. Before moving into the private sector, she was an attorney in the Los Angeles Regional Office of the Securities and Exchange Commission. Norma Iris is also a California licensed business intermediary.
As President of Princeton Club of Southern California (PCSC), a 501(c) (3) non-profit alumni association, Norma Iris has steered the club towards a more active role in alumni driven community service projects addressing the educational, social, and cultural enhancement of school-aged children and youth. She chairs the Ivy Network Committee whose events and activities help subsidize community service and charitable projects benefiting the educational and cultural enhancement of disadvantaged school-aged children or youth and is a strong advocate of the Club's Princeton Prize award program which recognizes high school students for outstanding work in advancing the cause of race relations in their schools or communities. Princeton University noted this and other accomplishments by awarding PCSC the 2007 Austin P. Leland '28 Award for overall excellence by a Princeton regional alumni association.
Norma Iris is also a member of Advisory Board of Directors for Education Through Music, Los Angeles (ETM-LA) a 501(c) (3) non-profit corporation whose mission is to promote and support music instruction in disadvantaged schools in order to enhance students' academic performance and general development.
In her spare time, Norma Iris likes to travel, socialize with friends, and play with Honey and Billy, her two pet pooches.
