Overview:
Rick is the founder of the firm serves as its and managing partner. From the outset, the firm has been built on his philosophy that clients are better served by a proactive legal approach designed to prevent problems. When consulted by business clients, he emphasizes the need to anticipate potential problems and the importance of advance planning to avoid them. But, when litigation is unavoidable, Ricks clients are in good hands. A veteran of more than 70 trials, he understands how to prepare and present a case. His excellent record has earned him the respect of his peers as well as the undying loyalty of his clients, some of whom have been with him for over 30 years. Ricks trial and litigation experience for more than 30 years includes matters involving personal injury, property damage, business and commercial disputes, employment matters, trust disputes, and a variety of other claims.
Although Rick is best known as a trial lawyer, he has steadily built a business practice in which he handles everything from business formation, contracts, succession planning, asset and stock sales, and general business counseling for small to medium sized businesses. His background in litigation provides him a unique insight that helps clients avoid pitfalls in business that lead to the courtroom.
The list of clients Rick has represented over the years is extensive, ranging from major national corporations, small businesses, and individuals. He serves as national counsel for a manufacturer with responsibility for overseeing its product liability litigation. Regardless of the size of the client or complexity of the matter being handled, Rick regards each clients mater as equally important.
